Confused
I went to my first appt, I was 9 weeks 3 days, I had GD with my last pregnancy in 2015, I never had my a1c checked after like I was told. The midwife/np I saw had me drink the drink and do a 1 hr glucose test, when I got home I tested with my old meter and it was 199, the next week I got the results they were 197 the provider called me and told me I had type 2 diabetes and have probably had it for awhile, she did no other blood work at that time, after telling me I had type 2 she wanted me to come in for a 3 hr. I agreed originally but the more I thought about it, it gave me anxiety.. I asked if they could add on an a1c in the mean time and I agreed to checking my sugars 3x a day and seeing the dietician at their office. My a1c came back great at 5.2 so turns out I don't have type 2, or that's what the nurse told me when she called and that it's probably gestational. I just had an appt with a dr at my office on Wednesday and asked her about it and she said she thinks it's still too early to test for gestational and for me to keep taking my sugars. This is all kind of frustrating to me. Anyone else been tested and diagnosed early on in pregnancy?! TIA and congrats to all of you mommas!
