TTC baby #1

Hello! Me and my husband have been TTC for 5 months. Just this month we have been trying the clear blue advanced opk. Today was day 8 that it read high fertility but I have not peaked yet. I have been testing first thing in the morning when I get up. Is this the right way? I have read that you should test between 2pm-8pm instead. According to this chart i should have ovulated yesterday. Could I have missed it since I didn't test in the afternoon? Is anyone else having this same issue? Please help this is getting very frustrating.
