I was out for dinner with my older sister at a family run Mexican food place, My sister really likes spicy food especially when she was pregnant. The people there know her as the white woman who likes spice. We were waiting to be seated and the man who runs it came up and was talking to us about how he lets my sister have the spiciest sauce that he only usually lets "brown people" have. A women behind us was huffing and puffing and once he left she asked us if we were offended (we weren't). Would you find that offensive? I'm a little confused it's no secret that white people aren't super well at handling spice.
