Infant Car Seat Location?

FTM here! I'm wondering where the car seat should be located in the back seat? 
I know I would prefer to have it behind the passenger so I can see/get to him easier but I've read middle is best. 
What did everyone else do?

Car seats are side crash tested so just out baby wherever you feel most comfortable with. Yea middle would be ideal but for people like me with 2 kids that's not an option lol 
I didn't when I only had my son either because it was so hard on me to get him in and out of the car if he was in the middle

I've always heard drivers side since you automatically swerve to save yourself if possible

It should be located where you can get the best install. In some cars, this may not be the middle seat. Check your car manual before using a latch install, as many do not allow latch borrowing from the other seats, and the middle may not be equipped with latches. I drive a Toyota Venza and can only use the seat belt for a middle install.

I went and bought my pram and car seat a month or so ago and they said it's best to put it behind the passenger seat x

I have two kids already #3 on the way and have a can do bucket seats in the middle. Really it's all about where you want to put baby. I put all my newborns on the passenger side then move them to the drivers side when the next one comes that way I have the easiest access to the youngest one!

You have to check your car manual. It will tell you where to place the car seat. I have a sonata and wanted it in the middle but due to the drink holder fold down thingy I couldn't because it would push the car seat towards the front. Ask your local police department if they're car seat certified and once you have it installed take it to them to check it out.

Well take into account that if the driver can it will automatically protect himself, it's not controllable it's just instinct. Middle and driver side are the safest if you have a normal car. When you have those cars that are made to keep you alive, like Volvo and Saab, it shouldn't be a problem where do you place the carseat.
