Glucose test ???

Okay. How does this work?! I know you drink a icky drink & what not. But it says you wait like an hour? You don't have to wait in the dang office do you???   My doctors room is so damn small I'd go insane ! 🏃 lol.

I just did mine! You drink something that tastes like a flat soda- literally. Not bad at all. And it's tiny! And then you wait an hour (yes, I did have to stay in the waiting room) lol then they draw your blood and you're done unless you fail!

I just failed the 1 hour one, they want the glucose less than 134 and mine was 141..soo close lol. Now I have to do the 3 hour one, planning on bringing my tablet and headphones hopefully watch some Netflix to help the time pass.

Yep you have to sit there just incase you pass out or something. It's not that bad.

The doctor should have given you an instruction sheet when they gave you the test, although I guess if you're doing it in-office they may not have given it to you.. My doctor gave me the drink to take home with instructions and the scrip for the blood draw to give to the lab when I go.

They did mine the other day. I drank the stuff right before I saw the doc and by the time I was done an hour had passed so they drew my blood then. Unfortunately I failed and now have to go for a 3 hour GTT 😩

My doctor had me go to the lab first then we did my checkup so I only ended up waiting 15-20 minutes. For my three hour I had a room with a reclining chair up at the hospital and was only allowed to leave to take the 5 steps to a bathroom. It's not that bad. It will go faster than you think.
