Pumping????

Question

My left side is producing more than the right.... I pumped my left for only 6 minutes and my right for 30 minutes... Also my left is watery like and the right looks darker like cows milk... Any advice or info on this...

Most people have a slacker boob, my right produces less than my right. As far as your milk looking watery that's the fore milk, it's normal. Bf is 2 layers fore milk = thinner watery looking and hind milk = thicker looking fatty layer.

Breasts don't produce evenly. My left produces 2/3-3/4 of what I get when I pump. Totally normal. The watery milk is less fatty and less filling. The thicker milk is more fatty. Your baby will need both! :) hydration and fat.

you can go old school and eat barley and oatmeal and drinks lots of water it really works, i know a way to make barley taste good too.. but my left will produce at least 4 oz now and my right 6 or 7 and my son is 6 weeks

Same thing for me. I use basil essential oil mixed with coconut oil 2 times a day to help with production, you just mix 2 drops of basil with 1/2 tsp coconut oil and rub it around on your breasts (you can put it on bottoms of feet too) but do not get it on your nipples, do that after you pump. It works wonders and I also drink mothers milk tea. It is not that great tasting but it has fennel in it and that helps too.
