What's next after Clomid?

I'm about to start my 3rd month of Clomid. I'm currently on 100 mg. I have not ovulated on it the last 2 months. My OB/GYN said one more month after this and then I need to see a fertility specialist. Has anyone tried Clomid and had it not work? What was your next step?

My husband and I  just finished our first IUI round. First day 3 U/S showed 7 Antral Follicles which was great and hopeful per my RE. I then took Clomid 100mg during days 3-7 of my cycle. Everything looked great during the 2nd mid-cycle U/S (4 mature eggs ranging from 15mm-27mm were observed.) Husband and I found out recently that the first IUI round did not take and to make matters worse the Clomid caused me to develop whats called Corpus Luteum Cysts. (3 large cysts ranging from 23mm to 38mm!) Because of these cysts producing Estrogen and Progesterone my period has not started and I am now on day 35 of my cycle. I read that the formation of these particular cysts occur in about 10% of women who take Clomid. The cysts may resolve on their own (in approx 2 more weeks!) or if not, they will have to be aspirated and drained. My husband and I are loosing the most important thing in this situation which is time. My RE said that 3 cycles of IUI could really take us 6 months. She also said that she can switch me to Letrozole/Premara 2.5mg for IUI round 2 however she stated that Letrozole is known to not release as many follicles as Clomid since Letroloze is a gentler form of ovarian stimulation. Has anyone heard this?

yes i did for 6 months no ovulating either so i took premara and im ovulating so hopefully soon to have a positive pregnancy test in two weeks try premara it worked this month for me if u wanna know more hit me up

I tried clomid and IUI with a fertility specialist for three months.  No luck.  Next I have a consult for injectable medications with IUI.  I won't do IVF, it's too expensive since my insurance doesn't cover.  Right now I'm on femara while I wait for the consult.  I encourage you to go to the fertility specialist instead of trying longer with the GYN.  If you haven't had an HSG to see if your tubes are open, you'll need that very soon.   Also your partner will need a sperm analysis if he hasn't already had one done.
