they reccomend 6 weeks typically. that is typically when birth control is prescribed. there is a risk of infection if the cervix is still open and there is no real way to know before you go in for that post Partem check if it is open or not.

6 weeks, or you can get an infection or hemorrhage and land in the hospital, or even die.  You will go back to normal down there but it will take a little bit of time.

I'm not going to lie. Right after birth your hooha looks like a blown out flat tire. Scared the shit outta me. But a lil while later and ol' girl was back to normal :)
