Kinda Embarrassing but HELP?!

Hey so this is kinda embarrassing but I have a flea problem in my house. My dog got really bad fleas and we have tried everything we can afford. I was told peppermint oil would get rid of fleas if I diluted it in water and put it in a spray bottle and sprayed around the house. Also, I was told I could spray it on my dog and it was harmless. SO HERE IS MY PROBLEM AND QUESTION. My grandmother said it would be harmful for me to breathe it in (since I’m 5 months pregnant). Since it’s diluted and I’m not putting it on me wouldn’t it be safe? Please leave ANY and ALL opinions or facts in the comments!! 👇👇

I'm pretty sure as long as you're not ingesting if you're fine. Also make sure you vacuum a lot too, fleas can live in your carpet. So probably just spray the carpet and wait like 30 mins and vacuum.

to help capture the fleas. Get a bowl of water and mix in some dawn dish soap and then place it under a desk lamp. the fleas will flock to it and drown. I've used it before when we had a flea problem

There are more "natural" things to get rid of fleas. We got a spray from mud bay we live in pnw of USA and it works fantastic! It doesn't have all the chemicals in it. You can spray it on evvvvverything. They have carpet powder too. Aside from that, the dogs get flea treatment orally and a flea bath if I even see one on any of them. 3 dogs 1 cat. Let me know if you want the name of the spray we have. It's a little spendy like 20-25 but it works.

My SO's sister dog has fleas while we lived in the same house as her... we kept washing everything we could over and over with hot water - we also bought cheap flea spray from Walmart. Eventually what worked was spending money for flea pills /:

We get a $20pill from our vet called confortis an all fleas are killed on her in 15 mins. An it clears the ones in the house as well

If you're worried about the peppermint, you can dilute vinegar with water in a spray bottle and do the same for fleas. Fleas dont like the sour smell so you can even spray it on your dog too. Google it. :)
