So my SO is in the army and we've been together for three years now. I thought he just got back from deployment today. Turns out he's been home for a week and went to my grandad (who raised me) to ask him for permission to marry me. My nana even gave him the engagement ring I loved as a little girl, to use. So this evening he took me on the very same date as our first. We drove up on a hill with some take out Chinese and talked for hours. He asked me if I'd ever thought about marrying him. I told him of course I had and he got out of the bed of the truck and got down on one knee.
