What is this stuff?

Ok, so I was out swimming and forgot to take out my pad. It was fine and all but then when it comes to taking it out it's all inflated. I understand that it has absorbed some of the water. I then squeezed it and this weird gel stuff comes out. What is this stuff? Thank you byyyyyye ;)

Just like a diaper. That's the stuff that absorbs moisture. It turns into a gel when wet.

Some sanitary towel company's use absorbent gel to help with the chances of less leakage due to the fact of how much water would've been absorbed by you swimming the gel will have reached its max capacity and by squeezing it will have come out it works the same with nappies if a nappy absorbs too much fluid the will start to leak jelly crystals too :) hope this helps
