Hey ladies,

So I am 19 years old and I am home for the summer from college. Well this guy I knew from middle school reconnected with me over social media and I agreed to go on a date with him. I think he is attractive, and we do seem to have a lot of common interests but something seems off. When we went on a date, it was basically only the second date I have ever been on. Yeah I have gone to eat with guys and girls I have been interested in but it wasn't planned type of thing. During this date, I had fun. We went to a pub that had TVs all around and you could play any video you wanted or any card game. We played video games for a while then ordered some food and ate. We ended up playing more video games, but before we did he sat and talked mainly of himself. He is a welder and so he showed me some things he has created. Which I highly respect Because he is proud of his work. There is nothing wrong with that but... he never really asked me any questions trying to get to know me. If I started telling him a story sometimes he cut me off to talk more about himself.. Its been a few days since our date and he has texted me at least once a day, but he never seems to be trying to hold a conversation with me. Its always a "Hey. What's up?" type of conversation and it dies within a few minutes. I have not slept with him or even kissed him. I do not really know what to do. I would not mind going on another date, but I want him to try and get to know me. What would any of y'all do? Am I doing something wrong?
