I'm feeling guilty about taking pain meds. my little guy was born on July 4th. They had a hard time getting my pain under control in the hospital and I ended up on a morphine pump. my body doesn't respond to medication well. it usually takes a lot of any thing to even slightly feel a difference. I am home now and taking care of my 3 year old and the house as well as a newborn. by the evening I still need something for the pain. I have been taking hydrocodone still once a day and Motrin every 8 hours. my family is making me feel bad that I'm not back to normal and still quite sore. Is this normal? how long were you taking medication? this is my 2nd section and still took pain med every now and then up till 3 weeks. it just seems like every one thinks I should be fine by now.
