When I was trying to enlist in the Navy I started using public transportation via trains (I lived in Connecticut at the time) , and it added up to about 8-10 miles a day walking between home, work and the subway stations. I would go to the gym and work on the elliptical for an hour 3-4 days a week. I also ate only  chicken dinners (obviously not fried) with herbs and spices, and a variety of different salads. Drank only water and coffee with natural sweetener. I dropped about 25lbs in about 3 months (idk if my thyroid went hyperactive or not because it dropped super fast) . Other times I would run every other day, it took longer to lose but I did lose an another 10lbs in about a month and a half. Hope that helps some. It's a tough road but well worth it in the end. 🍀

Don't try and fixate on losing the weight fast. If your like me it didn't appear overnight and will not be solved permanently overnight either.

Lose weight quick diets are not sustainable and often end with the person gaining the weight they lost plus more.

I use an activity tracker paired with myfitnesspal for tracking my food and this has helped me shed almost 4 stone. Obviously this has taken time but I feel like it is for good this time.

I went to a 10 day health retreat.  You learn really good habits and you can practice them there with no temptation, before bringing them back into your real life.

Any diet that helps you lose weight fast, well you'll probably put it back on just as fast.  I don't think eliminating whole food groups helps either. I've practically cut out added sugar, but then that's not a food group.  Carbohydrate is the food group, and I've not cut that out, but low GI carbohydrates are better.

I lost a lot of weight, and kept it off for years on the low GI diet.  Normally I don't like anything called a diet, but as long as you aim to make a lifelong change it's okay.  Something you do for two weeks and stop is not going to give you sustainable weight loss.
