Milk Bath Photography Tips

Kimber

I am 29 weeks and tried at home milk bath maternity photos for fun! Thankfully my husband understands how extra I am and took these for me. I wanted to point out a couple of tips incase anyone else was interested in trying these! It really was easier than I thought to be honest. First off I bought the lace dress from amazon which was about $13 they come in a variety of colors and sizes. I used hot water and about 5 cartons of non-refrigerated vanilla almond milk from Trader Joe's (32oz $1.79 each, note I have a very large 2 person tub). I was worried about using real milk and glad I used the almond it smelled really great and gave it the perfect milkiness. I also used a variety of flowers and greenery. I picked ivy from my yard it was very pretty around the tub. My favorite was the leather leaf in the tub, I also used rose petals and baby's breath and a few others from a bundle. I will also note you do not need a ton of flowers I wasted some money buying a ton and ended up using 3/4 full roses scattered and a handful of the leatherleaf. Also the leaves start to sink so it's best to throw everything in and get in quickly.. the flowers also move away from you so be sure to adjust them and move them back toward you. An easy way to clean up after is I used our pool skimmer and it got all the flowers and leaves up! Good luck and I hope this is helpful to anyone trying milk bath photos !!
