EBF baby won't take bottle, time to introduce cereal?

My DD is 3 months old and I am EBF. I just returned to work and my little love will not drink from the bottle. I've tried everything, but she refuses to eat when I'm gone. Has anyone ever experienced this and decided to introduce spoon feeding rice cereal or oatmeal mixed with breastmilk? I've been coming home after 3-4 hours to feed my baby, but I'm worried about how this will make me look at work. I just want DD to eat when I'm gone. HELP!!

They still have the tongue thrust reflex at 3 months so baby won't be able to eat solids. I know some people use a syringe if baby won't take a bottle. Sorry you're going through this.

Ugh my EBF baby is doing the same thing. She took a bottle great at 2 weeks. Then at about 8 weeks she stopped. Now she refuses and screams when it's offered to her. She'd rather starve herself then take s bottle while I'm gone. 😐 I tried different bottles, nipples, flows, different people feeding her, me feeding her..nothing worked. I stopped trying to give it to her at this point. I rarely ever have to leave her for more than a couple hours. However, I am looking forward to introducing solids soon (she's 4 months). I'm waiting until her next appointment to get the OK. That way if I ever have to be apart from her at least she'll have something to sustain her with to hold her over. Hang in there! It will get better! 😀

I just started my almost 4 month old on baby food this past week for similar issues. She refuses to take any bottle, I've tried everything. I'm not working, but there's times when I need to be away. Most recently I had to take my GRE for grad school so I was going to be away for 5-6 hours and needed something to sustain her while I was gone so she wasn't screaming the whole time for my husband. The first day or two she didn't get it at all, but now shes opening her mouth and getting better with it. (: she hates the cereal though. Will only do actual baby food.

Have you tried different bottles? Some babies do not like certain bottles. No food other than breastmilk or formula is suggested until 6 months.

Have you tried different bottles? A friend of mine's baby would only use a mimijumi bottle because it is most like a real nipple.

My now 13 year old ate cereal at 3 or 3.5 months. Did great with it.  But,  he was eating 6-8oz each feed.  And the dr gave us the go head on cereal. 
What's the reason you are thinking about starting it? Hunger? Just wondering,  since I'm sure you know,  that baby still needs their milk WITH the cereal,  when starting it. So it can't replace a feeding. Whether breast or bottle.

I'm going through the same thing. I'm getting ready to go back to work and I'm so nervous due to her no longer taking the bottle. My daughter use to take the bottle but at 2 months she stop.i tried all types of bottles and nipples and nothing has worked.
