How long to continue working as a chef 👩🏼‍🍳when pregnant?

I'm not pregnant yet, ttc 7 months... anyway, in preparation I wanted to get an idea of how long I will have to find a different type of job once I'm pregnant. I'm figuring not long since I work 8-10 hr days on my feet in a 95 degree kitchen over flames and hot ovens... jw if there any other fellow female cooks that kept working while pregnant and for how long...

My culinary instructor told me that her water broke on the line. While I don't think that is necessary. It really is up to you and your body as to how far along you are and if you decide to stay at work. I am high risk and couldn't go any further than 26 weeks.

I would guess either until you can't stand the smells of what you are cooking or you can no longer see the pan that you are cooking in.

I am currently 34w4d and let me tell you it is way too hard now. Granted the only reason I lasted this long is because I am a pastry chef, so I don't really work the line anymore and do heavy production in the AM for on average 10+ hours a day. This is my last full time week before going on 2 day weeks to cover my assistants days off. 
The hardest part, (besides the obvious swollen ankles, peeing all the time, super emotional, etc... lol) is that I literally can't reach pots on the back of the range. My belly gets in the way. Same with rolling dough or wrapping sheet pans in plastic. Can't reach the bottom of the 40qt Hobart either. I am only 5'5" though, so maybe if you are taller it wouldn't be such an issue.
Also, I don't know if would be an issue for you but you are really not supposed to do "heavy" lifting either. So I try and keep my lifting below 30#. That means no moving cases of lemons or lifting flour sacks or large stock pots and having to ask others to help you with a lot more projects than you would think. 
If you do keep working later into pregnancy make sure that you drink tons of water and invest in a good pair of shoes or inserts. Also try to elevate your feet if you can take breaks.

No behind the line but I’m a bartender who lifts heavy kegs/ ice buckets/ boxes of stock items and beer. I work at a high volume spot and never get to sit! I went up to 36 weeks but I lowered my amount of hours towards part time a few weeks before because standing and running around was killlllling my feet!

I'm 20 weeks right now and I'm still rocking it. I'll let you know again as time goes by. my only issue is it being dinner and hotter in the kitchen I sweat more and my drs on my but about losing weight even though I was overweight when I got pregnant. just stay hydrated and do what you feel is right for you.

My friend made it to 7 months but had severe back pain. Her doctor limited her to 4 hours a day (although she works 6). She still has some pain and is tired though. She’s taking early maternity leave at 8 months because it’s too much being on your feet in a kitchen.

My sister got her dream job working at Giadas on the Las Vegas strip, she had to quit in her 1st trimester because the smells were constantly making her vomit and they can't have that in or around the kitchen :( . She said if she were able to get past the 1st trimester, she could have stayed working on her feet u Tio her 3rd, when the vomiting and smell sensitivity started back up
