TMI: period question

I usually have a normal period but I spotted a dark brown, very light for two days and then I started and now I'm having lots of stringy clots. I'm used to normal clots. I'm not pregnant but I'm just wondering if that's normal and if anyone else has had simulate issues with that type of clots
