Okay so to preface this, it isn't really a rant, and it's not about my impending baby, it's about me. My stepdad has been in my life since I was five, my bio dad has made appearances, but they were brief and usually upsetting somehow (he is/was a drug addict, claims to be clean but hangs around heroin users still). It took me awhile to warm up to him due to being an extremely stubborn child, but he is my dad and he has loved me as his own child since day one, and finally at 21, he adopted me. We waited so long due to my bio dad being a prick and still having his parental rights, even though he hasn't paid a dime of child support, and I even remember having my finger pricked for a DNA test because he didn't believe I was his, he still would have fought the whole way to make my mom and everyone miserable. But now, I'm finally a legal adult and we can finally afford to go through with it and I'm so excited! 😊😊😊
