Does anyone see a psychiatrist?

I think I suffer from anxiety and I definitely need some help, possibly meds. Does anyone have advice?

I don't currently see anybody but I have been in counseling a few times, and honestly it REALLY helps! I would definitely suggest seeking out a counselor and finding someone you feel comfortable with.

I see a therapist pretty regularly. 
I started going during grad school because the school had counselors. It was immensely helpful. I hated grad school, and my dad passed away while I was away for school, and so it helped a lot to have someone to discuss things with. Then after I graduated, I moved to California to be with my then-boyfriend and found a different therapist, who I've been seeing for the last few years now. After childbirth, I experienced PPD, so I saw her 3-4x/month. Then we went down to 2x/month. Now that things have settled down a bit, I am seeing her 1x/month. 
Motherhood brings out the best in us, but it can also bring back a lot of traumatic memories or unnecessary anxiety or unwanted fears and worries... I think it's so important that I work thru these issues so that I am not projecting them onto my baby. I know babies can feel our vibes, just like animals can, so I want to be mindful of my moods when I am with my family. 
I would highly recommend finding a cognitive behavioral therapist or psychologist over a psychiatrist. They can teach you how to "rearrange" your thought processes before/without resorting to medicine.

I see a counsellor but I feel like it doesn't help tbh I have ptsd anxiety and depression, I have a support worker who tries getting me out to do things like art classes music classes positive thinking classes etc but I stopped going it was horrible there was too many people!! Sometimes I've found it's helpful to find a hobby like I've started knitting and colouring books etc I sing and look after doggys keeps me busy and my mind busy

Go to a therapist or a counselor first. A doctor will only refer you to those two anyway at first. After talking with your therapist/counselor they will decide whether or not you need medicine.That's where the psychiatrist comes in??
