If it's discussed beforehand, sure! My SO na di have one though neither of us have needed to utilize it. 
I mean we hand each other our phones daily, text my mom for me, look up this address, etc. But we trust each other so we haven't needed to "snoop".

No. My phone is my private property. My boyfriend can ask me any time to use my phone and I will never say no. He answers my phone, replies to texts and emails for me, he steals pictures from it, uses the internet, etc. He is free to use my phone whenever, just as I am with his. But he is not allowed to do that without asking me first. I would never tolerate someone going through my phone to check on my messages and make sure I'm not cheating. If that needs to happen in my relationship then I'll be ending that relationship immediately. I'm only sticking around in a relationship where there is complete trust and respect.

We do stuff for each other on our phones. We don't have our fingerprints put in, but we have each other's passwords. 
He sometimes glances at my texts and sometimes he is interested in how my friends are. I sometimes snoop through his messages, and he knows I do that. 
He knows I've been cheated on multiple times before. So he has zero problems letting me snoop as he likes that it makes me feel safe. ☺️😍

My boyfriend and I have one, and it works great for us :) We have each others phone and laptop passwords with the knowledge that if either ever wanted to, we could look though anything with full consent from each other. He's used it a couple of times, as have I, and it's mainly just curiosity, nether of us have ever doubted the other. But we also live together, join our incomes, and are raising a pet together so our doubts about one another are long gone aha

It depends I guess. I have my boyfriends finger print programmed on my phone so he can unlock it without my passcode but it was my decision to do that. He doesn't even have a passcode on his phone, never did. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't believe in snooping. If my bf or myself needs to text someone or whatever then I give him my passcode. But i wouldn't let him go through my phone. I had a really controlling ex who demanded to see my phone at all times. I couldn't bitch about him to my friends, if i talked to other guys he'd hit me, and was overall a shitty person. So when someone demands to snoop i see it as a red flag to what my ex was like. If you can't trust me then you shouldn't be with me. Same the other way if i feel like I need to snoop through my SOs phone because i think he's lying then maybe its time to reevaluate.

It depends. I mean I'm fine with my boyfriend having a password on his phone but it would be nice to know it in the off chance I need his phone. He doesn't have to tell me but I don't want him to be secretive about his phone.

We use each other's phones sometimes, no problem, but I just think it's so wrong to read through people's messages and if it's just the opportunity to do that then hell no. Of course I have nothing to hide in my messages but why do you need to read through conversations I have with my friends? It's just weird to me
