placenta accreda

I had a beautiful baby boy 21 months ago. while delivering it was discovered that I had a placenta accreda. They were able to perform a D&C; immediately. I had switched OB doc at 35 weeks, because it had taken me so long to work up the nerve to finally leave the previously awful doc I had. had anyone gotten pregnant after having one? Did it happen again? My new doc told me I would be followed by a neonatal/fetal specialist and considered high risk next time around. can't lie am pretty scared of bleeding to death, complications if we have another 😥
