Normal for 2nd baby to not kick as much??

I'm20 weeks  pregnant with my second baby and I feel him kick, but not as much as when I was pregnant my daughter. We went to the dr and everything was normal. He's very chunky and happy. Did anyone else experience light flutters at this time and more crazy kicks later?? With my daughter you could see my stomach move all the time from this point on.

I'm 24 weeks with my second and this baby is kicking a lot more than my first ever did...but I also didn't start feeling him till about a week ago. It started soft flutters then big hits right away. Every baby is different and as long as the doctors think everything is fine there shouldn't be too much concern.

With my first baby I could hardly feel her kicking. I had an anterior placenta which means the baby is behind your placenta. It makes it harder for you to feel movement because they need to kick through the placenta to feel it. I never was able to experience those cool kicks or see those awesome moments of little hands/feet like everyone said I would. Even when I was 39 weeks it was still kind of hard to feel/see her move. I am now 25 weeks with #2 and her placenta is a posterior (normal) placenta and I have been able to feel her movement since 16 weeks. And at 25 weeks I can already see her kicks and movement. This pregnancy so far has felt completely different from my first one. Ask your doctor where your placenta is they should be able tell you. I unfortunately didn't know better with my first daughter and didn't know I had an anterior placenta until I was in labor. It definitely explained why I couldn't feel her. With #2 at my ultrasound I asked where the placenta is located and the technician was able to tell me right away. ☺️
