When Should I Get IUD Removed

Hey ladies! My husband and I are planning on trying for our first baby in December/January. I currently have the IUD and am wondering when you guys think I should get it removed? Thanks in advance!

I had the oldschool copper IUD. It only took two cycles before we got pregnant.

I had mine removed July 12th and got what I believe was my period on July 15th. It last about 7 days, so will see what happens. I am currently TTC and tracking ovulation. My OB said we could start trying right away.

I was on Mirena, and had it removed in mid May. My first cycle with it out was very irregular, but things are looking more normal now. I'd give yourself a couple months to readjust!

I had the Mirena as well and had it removed June 2 of this year and never had my period while I was on it for 4 years.  My 28 day cycle came right back and has been regular (so far). I would highly recommend removing it a few months prior since everyone's body is different and may take a while to adjust! Hope this helps!
