I've been spotting, some bright red, some clots, for two weeks now. They checked my HCG levels which were good, and an ultrasound at 7 weeks one day showed a strong heartbeat of 144. The tech said there was an ovarian cyst but no obvious cause for bleeding.

My bleeding has increased, so I called my practice today, and was told the cyst is hemorrhagic. When I asked if that could be the cause of bleeding, she said "it could be, but if you're miscarrying there's nothing we can do about it." They want me to wait it out until my next appointment on July 31 (I'll be 10 weeks).

I guess my question is has anyone had a hemorrhagic cyst, and if so how did everything turn out? Did it cause spotting?
