Bridesmaid hair style

I am in a wedding in September as a bridesmaid. I'm trying to figure out up or down for the hair style. The bride is super laid back but just wants an idea of how we are going to wear our hair. My dress is the halter top. Also my hair is thick and comes to almost my waist.
