Baby shower favors?

This is my 1st baby & I didn't want a baby shower but I did agree to a small immediate family only (27 ppl including kids) get together. I did put on the invites no gifts are necessary. Should I invest in favors for everyone?

I don't feel like I should have to spend the money on them to be honest. No one ever keeps your shower gifts, it seems like a waste to me. Plus they get expensive and I'm about to have a baby. I need to save money, not throw it away on stuff no one will even keep.
