No I would be mortified when my daughter turns sixteen if she dated a nineteen year old. At sixteen she will still be a child. There's a reason why at sixteen you can't vote, drive or drink.

I dont see why someome that age would be with a 16 ear old. However I don't know you're circumstances. If you two really get along , you two hit it off and this person respects you, I don't see why not.

That is perfectly fine in my opinion. My boyfriend and I are 3 years apart as well, both of our parents are supportive and we each respect the other. I can understand how others could be concerned as many guys that old do have a certain mindset. However if you find the right one it should be no problem. I wish the best of luck to y'all, just know that most likely a lot of judgement will be casted on your relationship due to the age difference.

Legally yes depending on where you live. Most places the age of consent is 16. And at 16 you can be with someone three years your senior so 19 would be the cut off age. Then once you're 18 you can date anyone (except someone below the age of consent).

in the uk 16 is legal and theres only a 3 year age gap. if it were a 16 yr old and a 20something then i'd be concerned coz they are at totally different life stages. also depends on the young ppl involved, how mature are they? but a number doesnt tell this
