Is it okay to try and lose weight during pregnancy?

It's not necessarily that you are trying to lose weight but if you eat a healthy diet with moderate exercise weight can be dropped. It's actually a common thing with plus size pregnant mama's! They get so protective and want to eat healthy for their baby that they end up losing weight during pregnancy!

The reason I said "no" is because I think if you focus on having sensible healthy meals and staying moderately active when possible your weight should take care of itself during pregnancy. I think the added pressure of trying to drop weight is too much for me and probably too much for many other mothers to have to deal with. Decreasing stress is important to your health too.

I lost during my 1st trimester and have only gained 2 lbs and I am 21+3. I personally don't think it's a good time for me to focus on trying to lose weight. I am just trying to make better food choices.

it's not really good to try and lose in the 1st Trimester but in the 2nd and 3rd it should be fine but definitely talk to your doctor. and I definitely wouldn't do any type of extreme diet and exercise while pregnant
