Do you use a menstural cup and have an IUD?

Please tell me your experiences. I read that you should consult your Dr if you have an IUD because you may not be able to have both?

What have you guys noticed/heard? Thanks Ladies!

always break the seal. I place it as low as I xan where it'll still open. it'll gradually slide it's way up. also, feel for yoir strings before every time. jusr make sure they are tucked back. also, ask your doc to clip them if they super long.

I do! My doctor said that the only problem she could foresee is pulling out the IUD when removing the cup. Some people think that the suction from the cup is so strong, it might yank out your IUD with removal, but my doctor was skeptical of that. She said that the biggest concern would be getting the IUD string caught in the cup when removing it.
So far, my doctor is right! I've been using both for over 18 months and I've never had a problem. I am very careful to run my finger around the rim of the cup, checking for strings before removing it. 
The only "problem" I've had is because I got the copper IUD which makes your period heavier. I did not empty the cup as soon as I needed to, because I was used to a lighter flow. It leaked quite bad that day, although changing my routine fixed that. This is only for the copper Paragard IUD though, so any other ones you shouldn't have that problem. 
I LOVE both the IUD and cup, and definitely encourage anyone to use both/either. Feel free to message me any more questions!

My doctor recommended I don't use a mentsrual cup for the reason being is it has been known to come out.

I never even thought that this would be a problem until now. I have had my cup the entire time I have had my IUD with no issues at all.
