Paralyzed

I have 2 bugling discs and 1 herniated disc in my back (thoracic and lumbar). I've been having back pain and my hips have been hurting really really badly. Should I be concerned/go to the hospital. I'm only 16 and I would rather not have an unnecessary spinal surgery. I need tips from people who have went through it or doctors advice. I would have to go to a hospital about an hour from my house. Are my hips hurting bc I may become paralyzed? Does paralysis just happen or is there pain before?
