When you first start your period, it's going to be irregular.

I started my period for the first time when I was 8, had it for about 3 months regular and never got another period until I was 14 and even then they were super irregular and came only every two or three months. I'm now 20 and periods are normal (well not anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️🤰🏻) but I thinks it's totally normal for them to be awkward at first :)

it depends. when did you first get it? if you got it within the last year, it's fine.

I'm surprised most voted it wasn't normal. You should be fine because you're hormones are still trying to balance out. I think it's pretty common to have irregular periods when you first start getting them.
