So my significant other has been talking about having a baby and getting married a lot lately and Im not sure if I should take the conversation serious or if he's just joking..

Next time he brings it up say "I can't tell if you're being serious or not" and then just get quiet af and don't say anything until he does.

I mean, you know him better than I do. For me, it's all about body language, choice of words and tone. My SO has been doing the same thing however anytime a child acts like a spoiled brat he takes it all back and says he don't want to have kids at all lol. But I know, admist all the scare, he does actually want a child of his own. So, i suggest you pay attention to when he brings it up, how he does it, and how he reacts to even uttering the words: I want kids. Maybe you'll be able to decider whether he is joking or not

I took all of the advice given to me and he says he is serious about both. He says he doesn't care when we have childern but he wants to wait for marriage a lil while.. I on the other hand want to be married before i have kids though and he refuses to use protection and i tried birth control before and it was making me sick so i stopped taking it. what so i do now?
