Is this normal?

I'm 18 never had a boyfriend, first kiss, or anything- I feel super insecure about it, especially when my friends talk about their boyfriends and what they do. I'm very picky when it comes to boys and want to date someone who I know is committed. Does this make me weird? Also any advice on what to say to my friends when they make me feel insecure about it?

Yes it's normal. I didn't have my first boyfriend and didn't have sex for the first time until I was 22. You shouldn't feel embarrassed. You're young still. It will all happen at a right time

I wish I was picky about boys when I was younger. I did regret my first kiss at 13, first time having sex and who it was with at 16, and many other things but I obviously can't change it now. It's completely normal for an 18 year old to not have experienced those things yet and you shouldn't feel so insecure, trust me. It's amazing when you finally get that great connection with someone that you want to do those things with and once you find that person then it'll definitely be worth the wait 😊 as for advice, I don't have much other than if I were you, I would just ask them not to talk about stuff like that in front of me or I would just add in comments about boys I think are cute or something. It's really normal I'm seventeen and have never had a boyfriend/girlfriend or a first kiss, none of that. I don't think that it's weird or abnormal. I'm choosing to wait until I'm married tbh (just my beliefs). But you do you. Never let anyone pressure you into doing something you don't feel ready or prepared to do (even if they are loved ones) Wear your virginity with pride girl! I sure as hell do!
