Pansexual: Real Meaning

So I've seen a lot that people label themselves as a pansexual and it saddens me that the definition of pansexual has changed.

The term pansexual was originally coined by Sigmund Freud who was a neurologist and psychologist (love him and fascinated by him). Freud explained that pansexual means to be attracted to mostly anything such as bestiality and pedophilia.

Maybe there's a new definition to it or something, but I don't see why we would change the meaning of a word?? I just don't understand why people are labeling themselves as pansexuals when they don't know what the term actually means?
