Ladies, do you think this is fair?

My boyfriend works a lot and when I see him after work he always wants to sleep and sometimes I'm just not tired so I lay awake next to him and just let him sleep. Well today I was wide awake being it was only 6pm and he was tired and had the flu and we just finished having sex. Well I was lying next to him and caressing his arm and he was dead asleep and so I grab my phone to check my emails and text my mom. He wakes up annoyed that I'm not sleeping and then continues to get annoyed/mad instead of just sleeping and letting me be on my phone because I wasn't tired. Then he starts saying that he can't sleep, basically blaming me for it because he can sense that I'm not sleeping and it wakes him up. Well after that I said fine I will leave and you can sleep all you want. So I put my shoes on and went back to his room and asked him if he was going to lock on the door on my way out and he just shook his head no, well that pissed me off and I slammed the door when I left. I understand that he was sick and tired from work but why is it such a big deal if he sleeps and I do things on my phone while I lay with him? Is he wrong for trying to dictate my sleep? Where is the rule that I have to sleep when he sleeps, it's not even like we're going to bed together.
