so when i get pregnant and have a baby someday i will not have sex after it's just grosss and weird to think about and plus ur still OPEN and stitched up and bleeding and need a pad/ pamper on after birth .. hell no i would probably wait a year or 2 to start having sex after birth

Long story short, a week after birth I needed to be checked for something and was told my cervix was almost completely closed then! No bleeding from 8 or 9 days post birth. By 2 weeks post birth I had sex for the first time and was fine. I never had a tear or anything so that obviously helps. I doubt you'll wait 2 years lol :). If you haven't been checked for being closed, wait the 6 weeks!

if you are able to wait a yr or two b4 jumping ur man after having ur baby u prob shouldn't b with him. i think most women struggle to make the 6 weeks n if they do make it its bcoz (and not counting being exhausted) they r saw and/or dont want to risk falling pregnant again 🤗🤗

Lol. First of all the waiting time is 6 weeks because after 6 weeks everything is healed. Also, your supposed to wait until you stop bleeding to have sex again anyway. So no, there isn't blood and stitches. Maybe you should do a little more re search before you even think about having a child 😂😂😂

I'm 4 weeks postpartum and honestly, I could have sex right now. My hormones are CRAZY! (Which is very unlike me because I've always had a low libido.. Which made it hard to get pregnant in the first place!) but I had a 2nd degree tear and had 15 stitches internally from pushing my baby out in 20 minutes. (From crowning to having her out was only 4 minutes) That's the only reason I'm still waiting for my 6 week checkup! That and there's no way I want to get pregnant again yet! I'm still bleeding but it's not even enough to fill up a pantyliner in a full day and it's all old blood so it'll be done by the time of my 6 week appt. There's no way you need to wait a year or two unless you really wanted to. I'll honestly probably wait 8 weeks but I don't think I could handle anymore!

It's not necessary to wait that long... You're healed by 6 weeks, I think 8 if you had a csection. Sometimes even 4. I'm not having sex until I get the okay from my doctor, but honestly I could probably have sex now at 4 weeks, my labor went smooth and by 4 days after birth I felt like normal, and bled for a week and a half. I only had one small stitch. You'd probably change your mind when you actually give birth. The only reason I'd probably wait a little longer than 6 weeks is because I'd wait until my birth control is effective.

lol i can promise tou wont wait a year or two. You NEED to wait 6 weeks minimum to cutdown on the rick of hemorrhage, infection, or pregnancy (you are very fertile right after birth), but after that you are typically done bleeding and if your doctor says everything has closed up and your stitches are healed, you're fine. Your vagina is elastic basically, so it goes back to its original size if you let it rest and heal up. Some people even say they feel tighter after a baby. So that shouldn't be a fear either.

You don't have to wait that long if you don't want to. It's recommended to wait six weeks to wait til your cervix closes and you're all healed. By then things should be getting back to normal.

I only waited 2 weeks to have sex, I was still bleeding. I also had a c section. It is not gross to have sex after having a child.
