He's here!

My son Pierce was born July 18 @ 11:36am. He was 5lbs 15oz. I was only 35 weeks and 1 day so it came as a shock! In true movie style fashion my water broke and GUSHED everywhere at home on July 17 around 10pm so we rushed to hospital and were admitted. I was 1cm upon arrival and after reaching 3cm around 3am I got an epidural and it was HEAVEN. Gods gift to women right there, no way I would've been able to labor through that kind of pain. Shortly after that they gave me a very small dose of pitocin which kicked me from 4cm to 9.5cm in like an hour and half. After pushing for less than an hour, he made his grand appearance! I was fortunate that everything went really well and pushing wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be! Recovery is definitely harder than the actual delivery in my opinion! He's a perfectly healthy baby despite being early and we will take him home with us tomorrow!
