Water birth?

I am very interested in a water birth and would love all of your opinions and experiences, thank you!

My OB actually does them and she says they are amazing for natural pain relief. I planned on doing one with my son but I'm glad I didn't because he ended up coming early and he was born breech so I wouldn't be able to push him out in water. I definitely would like to have a water birth with the next one.

I had a home water birth with my last baby. I highly recommend it as a pain relief and to help you sway and "float" your way through contractions! However... I wouldn't actually give birth in the pool again if it were me. I had to turn on my hands and knees Bc he had "sticky" shoulders so I remember flopping my arms over the side of the pool with my head up and back arched trying not to drown while I pushed haha Plus I worried about placental abruption or something happening and him trying to take a breath while he was still under water. Not likely, but it still made me worry. So I loved it, but if I did it again I'd get out of the pool to push!

Do it at a hospital! I worked at a hospital that had birthing tubs! That way if something goes wrong, there's doctors and surgeons richt there! Home births , no no no. I've heard and seen too many horror stories of bad things going wrong  !

I hear it's amazing. Check the area you live in though because we don't have a birthing center and our local hospital only had one labor room with a tub so if someone is using it, you're out of luck.
