Shower/Sprinkle for 2nd Boy?

My son was born in March 2016. I'm having another boy in October 2017. I'm not expecting a full blown baby shower, but just curious what the norm is now?

I think a diaper sprinkle is appropriate but definitely not an actual shower.

My cousin has had six kids and had a full blown shower for all of her children. I'm on my second and I only wanted a diaper shower but they said it wouldn't be fair for my sons to go back and look and see one had an amazing party while the other only had diapers and no decorations so they want to throw me another full blown party :)

My children will be about 25 months apart and I'm not anticipating a second shower. I think this may vary though, where I live it's typically not done for a second unless they are many years apart.

I wasn't expecting anything but my best friends threw me a surprise baby sprinkle. It was very low key with mostly clothes and diapers as gifts!

You could have a sprinkle shower or a party to celebrate a new member coming into the world... Explain gifts arent necessary (as you should have everything you need besides diapers/wipes) with that you could do a diaper raffle...

Mine will be 15 months apart and I'm not having or doing anything... if I was having a girl, it'd be different. Or maybe if you have anything, say; "Please no gifts but diapers greatly appreciated."!?
