Hello! So recently my boyfriend brought up the situation of what if someone and myself were "competing" for him to pick one to be in a relationship with, and he picked me, or so that "I'm the winner". It came out of the blue, and felt so odd to me; competing against another woman, and the prize being a relationship with said person. I mentioned how it basically would feel like being on one of those reality tv dating shows. I answered him that honestly, no, & I would just not bother anyone if I found out that someone else would be "competing" to be in a relationship. It's all due to I didn't want to deal with the emotional strain that I felt like would come from it. Plus, I didn't want to have to compete to have the heart of said person, because I would not want to have to put myself in uncomfortable situations to "be the winner". What do you all think?

TL;DR - My boyfriend got upset when I said no I wouldn't compete to be in a relationship with him, or anyone, if I found out that another woman would be competing too.

(So sorry for the long rant/post)
