What's the biggest age gap you'd consider acceptable while dating someone?

I started talking to this guy who is 5 years older than me.  I'm 23 and he's 28.  We haven't been on a date or anything, but it got me thinking about age gaps and what may be acceptable to others.  I think 5 years is okay, probably the biggest I'd go.  But what do you think?

My husband and I are 11 years apart. Ive always dated men older than me (anywhere from 1 year-11 years apart). Im of the opinion that as long as you are of age (18/19), you are a consenting adult who can make whichever choices you want, as long as you are safe and responsible about said choices.

As long as both of you re over 18. That's usually the issue. A minor with an adult. I'm 38 my guy is 28. Been together since he was 23. He looks older than me. No one would ever know my age. I still get carded.
