Baby dropping at 34 weeks, should I worry?

Hey all I am a FTM and just had my 34 week appointment. I measured small (I have always been right on target) and I have been having some pelvic pressure so they think the baby has dropped. They are having me come in for an U/S next week. Should I be concerned? I didn't really get a whole lot of answers, just to stay hydrated and monitor if I have any contractions.

Nope, dropping does not necessarily mean baby is about to pop out. My friend delivered in February and clearly dropped by 35 weeks (she was so uncomfortable!). However baby boy didn't make his debut until 41.5 weeks 🙄

My OB said the same to me. I was 34cm at 36 weeks and now 35cm at 37 weeks. Said most likely baby has dropped and that's why I'm measuring small. Still concerns me, as I've only gained a total of 5lbs but she said that's normal for me being on the heavier side already. I'm having weekly appts until my due date of Aug 10 so hopefully nothing drastically changes week to week.

At my childbirth class the instructors mentioned that first time moms tend to drop earlier, but also tend to actually go into labor earlier, so I personally wouldn't worry about it.

I dropped this week at 36 weeks... I was way higher and now get popping noises and lightining crotch like crazy. My contractions are starting to happen more and more. I go to the drs tomorrow (37) hope I am progressing a little last time I went they said closed and nothing going on but I def. feel like somethings going on. I wouldnt mind going at 39 weeks since the dr said I am two weeks ahead.
