When is it too early to start getting the little one into a nighttime routine?

My little boy is 6 weeks and previously he's been asleep during the evening in the living room with us in his rocking bed, then we take him up when we go to bed about 11pm, give him a feed (I'm breastfeeding) and put him in his crib with the lights out etc.

Is 6 weeks too early to try and establish a bath, feed, bed in the dark routine at around 7/8pm or should I wait a few more weeks?
