I just started dating this guy and we are really hitting it off. We didn't kiss until the third date and when I asked him about it, he told me he was shy. I told him that was fine and no problem. After a couple weeks, I decided I would try to take things to the next level. We started getting hot and steamy when I asked if he'd been tested for STDs. He told me he'd only had sex with one girl a couple of times 4 years ago. We are both 24 and I have had many sexual partners. No STD or pregnancy problems, thank goodness. But I'm not sure how to address this with him! I'm used to guys trying to get in my pants in the first hour so I'm completely out of my depth with this. I do think sex is an important part of a relationship but I respect that he wants to wait. How do I work this out?
