Grief - it's been over a year but I still randomly start crying sometimes?
My grandfather passed unexpectedly away over a year ago, I was quite close to him and my grandmother (she's still alive). It was the only loss of a close person I've lost so far. I was extremely upset wBen it happened, but a few months later I felt like I got back to normal. I still avoid thinking or talking about him too much cause I know I will get emotional. But overall I've been fine. Recently my life hit a rough patch (post-graduation unemployment) and I'm extra emotional so I just remember randomly that he died and start crying really hard. Is that normal, even after so much time? How long will this keep happening? I guess I just don't get why I'm feeling worse all of a sudden when I thought i was over it. Thanks in advance for any advice or just shared stories and experience.
