I got a travel system with my first. I wish I hadn't. What I really wanted was a BOB stroller instead of the cheap feeling (though expensive) stroller the car seat I wanted attaches to. I had no idea that you can get an attachment for nicer strollers specific for your carseat so you can create your own travel system.

It depends on whether or not you want to carry your baby in your arms or in a baby carrier sling or be able to take The car seat out of the car. 
This time with my baby Who is due in August I am going to get a convertible car seat and carry my baby in a ring sling or wrap.

I plan on getting the convertible car seat this time because my son had to go in one by the time he was 1 anyways cuz he was 8lbs 9oz and 22" long when he was born so he was big. So this time I figured I'd just save the money and get one car seat that will last us for a while.

i registered for the uppababy cruz stroller & bassinet. I didn't want to deal w| taking the infant seat out my car so much. I did get an infant car seat though as well as the convertible seat so i guess I can try all three options & find what works best for baby.
