My 6 month old breastfed baby started having sporadic episodes of vomiting that last about 30-45 minutes. During this time, he vomits everything in his poor little tummy.. so much that he ends up dry heaving (I assume because there is nothing left). He has no fever, it only lasts about an hour or less and then he is completely back to normal. This has happened 4 times since June 21st. We've been to the doctor/ER three times. This 4th time, we just called the on-call nurse. He has his 6 month check up on Monday. Everyone seems to think I should cut out all dairy, but I don't even know how! Dairy is in everything!!! Lol so before I do this, I have a question. I eat dairy on a daily basis. If it was dairy that is upsetting his tummy, wouldn't he be getting sick every day? I've already cut out cows milk because when he was younger, he was really gassy. Also, he started solids on May 21st when he was 4 1/2 months old. Any tips or ideas? 3 out of 4 of these days, he had sweet potatoes. I was thinking maybe an allergy to those? Or maybe he's eating too much or too fast? Is that possible?
