Fear of roller coasters

I'm so embarrassed to say this but I'm afraid of big roller coasters and idk what to do I don't want to look like a wimp but I don't understand why I can't just strap myself in and go with it. I'm terrified of big roller coaster with loops please help me. Any advice on getting over this fear?
