Is the customer always right?

🐾GiGi🐾

If a consumer initiates a purchase, and does not read the terms and conditions, happily clicks through (or signs if it's in person) the order, but then realizes after the interaction is complete that they had agreed to something they didn't want/like. Should they be refunded?

Example 1: person pays $4.95 for a 14 day weight loss supplement trial. Clicks they agree to the terms and conditions without reading them. Then is upset when they are charged $89.99 after the trial period ends because they never cancelled and didn't return the unused product. All of which was explained in detail in the terms and conditions which the customer checked a box they read and agree to. Should they get their $89.99 back?

Example 2: Person miss understands the requirements for free shipping and picks the option for shipping that isn't free and submits the order without reviewing the order summary where shipping is disclosed. Should they get their shipping charge back?

Example 3: Person signs up for a gym membership that requires cancellation to be done in writing and signs a contract that discloses cancelation policy. Calls to cancel because they're moving, is told to write letter, doesn't. Is charged for the gym membership for several months. Now wants all months refunded. Should they be refunded?
